What is Discover Pune
In a nutshell a heritage treasure hunt across the city.
Deciphering cryptographic texts, looking for places shown in pictures,
finding them with the help of clues, mapping routes and finally reaching the destinations – sounds not only interesting and thrilling but also adventurous and challenging. Isn’t it? This unique heritage treasure hunt takes the participants from the Pune - today to the old Punavadi…from the Rashtrakutas to Peshwas to British raj to the modern icons, forcing them to find out more about the iconic personalities related to them. The clues include question-answers, puzzles to know more about the place.
Probably one of the most creative and innovative event in the city, Nicknamed as “DP”, Discover Pune is one unique, mind boggling treasure hunt
event that sets the pulse racing and the adrenalin pumping. The concept is as simple as scanning the city with the help of a few guidelines provided by the organizers and completing the objectives stated in the course of the event that tests the knowledge of the participants about Pune, its history its culture. This event has made people question their knowledge about Pune city, that they have been staying in for years together.
This event not only brings in shear excitement, but also brings the
participants that much closer to the cities glorious past and the emerging future.
We have been carrying out this event for last 14 years consecutively with increase in number of participants every year, makes a statement all by itself.

This Year's Concept
-
Each team will consist of 3-4 members. No age limit. However, the driver must pose valid driving license.

The main objective of the game is to search maximum heritage locations using clues provided in optimum time.

Team can use any means to decode the clues. Can use any means of transportation to commute.

Teams will be given clues to find number of heritage locations in Pune city
-
This year's concept is loosely based on Astrology.

A team's horoscope ( Kundali ) will charted based on Date and Time of Registration.

Each team will be assigned a Rashi . Teams may wish to choose date and time of registration if they wish to.

The pune city area will be divided into 12 geographical sections mapping to 12 houses on the horoscope.

Each house will have planet placed in it as per the horoscope of 7th Jan 7:30 am.

Team's aim is to land on each planet / location.

Since team's will have Rashi, the permutations / combinations of house, Planets and Rashi that happen at locations will yield a team benefit, roadblock etc based on Rashi of the team, Planet at that location and house.

Some astrological concepts like Mangal in patrika, Sate sati of Shani will also be included to increase excitement and fun of the event.

Above is very high level explanation of theme and details would be explained at Pre Event Meeting.

Along with this there would other tasks, Question-answers and other rules which teams need to follow while traveling, which will be explained in detail during the pre-event meeting.
- The event would go on for 4 hrs before ending at "Nivara Vridhashram Hall, Navi Peth" around 11:30 am.

Results would be announce immediately following the event.

Final points will be calculated based on locations searched + time + tasks.
